As Always Thank You For Visiting!
Here is my newest mini album. It was for another co-worker that left. Perhaps it is the qualities that made her such a good Recovery Support Specialist that will make her an outstanding beautician. . . I actually had more fun making this album/card than I thought I would. I attached images to recycled greeting card envelopes and then made inserts by printing various information or quotes and left the backside blank for Katy's co-workers to leave her their thoughts and well wishes. I rounded the corners of the inserts and attached a ribbon to make it easier to slide them in and out. I tried to get a good mix of glamour and humor. I also matched the image on one side with a quote or something related to other side of the page. The inserts were a little more random, but I liked the idea of having the pages free of writing so that it was a memento and yet something fun on it's own. This is a one of a kind creation, but if you have someone who you would like to honor in some way with a custom mini of their own, please contact me and I will be glad to work with you. Please leave me a comment below and

I've decided to make this mini album more customizable for you. I've made penquin embellishments and various greeting tags for you to add to your pages as you put your pictures in! The embellishments have foam tape and the greeting tags have strip tape so they are all ready to go. There is even a paper clip for you to clip on a note of your own or a some other memento! I like this so much I may make one of these for myself at a later date! Please leave me a comment and let me know what you think. I will be working a little more steadily now as the days are passing quickly and the holidays will be upon us before we know it! I am currently working on an instagram mini album and of course more Christmas Cards. My photographer has a full time job now and getting her to take pictures is a bit more of a challenge these days. Please stay posted anyway and I will keep you up to date as much as possible.
As Always Thank You for Visiting! This is the newest mini album I've been working on. I used a penquin pattern for the theme. The pages are all Stampin' Up! designer papers. The eyes are made from various punches and then "googly eyes" are attached for humor. The album is approximately 4.5" X 5.75" and so can accommodate picture sizes up to 4" X 4". I will be adding more pockets, tags and embellishments but I wanted to share with you what I am working on. Please visit my other pages and leave a comment or suggestion.
As always Thank You for visiting! I am almost done with this mini album and though I will be glad to have it completed, I think I have enjoyed working on this album more than any of the others with maybe the exception of the western one I made for my friend Denise. I did most of that album from "scratch" and it has special meaning for me. . . . That being said, this is my seventh mini album and I feel like I finally know what I am doing (chuckle chuckle). The stamp sets are really adorable and inspire me creatively. For instance, on the relish the day page, I used some designer paper that I used for grass on another page and with a little squiggling over the pattern turned it into pickle relish. It's also fun to use puns. I haven't yet decided if I will finish this with ribbons like I've done with the others or leave it "bare" so that the recipient can add to it if they wish. Please leave a comment or message me with any questions. Here is another completed page in my new mini album. When I was a little girl, kids would collect lighting bugs in the summer and put them in a jar. I myself never did this because I didn't like bugs. I did however enjoy the magic of watching them in the dark with their beautiful flickering glow. I don't know if kids still do this, (and I wouldn't recommend capturing them for real) but I thought this a fun memory. This page has three pockets for small keepsakes or photos. The tag seems to say it all. . . . I've completed a few more pages, so as soon as my photographer "captures" them for me, I'll post them for you.
As always, thank you for visiting. I am no longer a demonstrator for Stampin' Up!. I still love Stampin' Up! because they are an awesome company. Everyone there that I have spoken with has been super polite. Even when they were crunching for Sale-a-Bration, the representative I talked to on the phone was patient with me when I was out and about and didn't have all the information I needed with me. I'll never forget how sweet she was and how helpful. All the time I was with them, It didn't matter when I called or who I talked to, EVERYONE, there was friendly and bent over backwards to help. Their products are great and high quality. I will definitely keep buying from them. I just was never able to get over my anxiety of doing workshops (although my job requires me to speak in front of people at times....so who knows if in the future I may be less anxious....( mmm probably not..........) Also I wanted to buy from other companies and the financial requirements, though minimal, made that too restrictive for me because of my limited budget. These are some of the newest stamp sets that I bought from Scrapbook.com. I am using these and some of my Stampin' Up! sets as well as S.U. designer papers for my current project: I thought I would give you a. . . . sneak peak. . . . of the newest (4.5"X6.5") mini album I am creating! I am so excited to be working with these stamp sets from Lawn Fawn. Aren't they cute! I guess my daughter thought so too, because she built an awesome picnic scene on her Mine Craft site!* Please check back often for updates on this project and others I am working on!
As always, thanks for visiting! *I will post a link to this site when I get it.....otherwise check out my emigurumi category to the left. Here's the newest mini album I've created. Please check in over the next few days for details on this mini and two more projects! This is the latest Tissue Paper Mini Album I've created. I used a Cowgirl Theme using some designer papers I created myself on Photo Shop. I also used Stampin' Up! card stock, inks, ribbons and punches. Some of the ribbon though, is from various craft stores that I have accumulated over the years from Micheal's and Hobby Lobby as well as charms and embellishments - new ones and others in my stash. The cover is a wanted poster with a "cactus rose" design using a resin cactus and punched out flowers which were daubed on the edges and glued together and shaped. I also attached little butterfly and flower charms to the ribbons.
I used some plastic lace shelving I'd gotten recently from my friend Ginger, but then realized their was an actual back because, you know, if your putting it on a shelf it doesn't need to look as nice on the back right? Luckily I had some other lace ribbon that I attached to give it a better finish. Whew! On page 1, I made a little pocket with a cowgirl embellishment. Inside the pocket is a folded card that can be used for writing little notes with maybe a picture or ticket enclosed. On page two is a little booklet I made, that is held in place with a green bow. Page 3 has a pocket trimmed with lace and is held with small white button brads and 1 white flower brad. Page 4 is plain except for a green satin ribbon at the bottom. Pages 5 and 6 are also plain to allow for pictures. Page 7 is also plain except a border of lace and green ribbon trim. Page 8 is one of my favorites. It features a stamped mama and baby horse which are cut away and affixed to the page to give it a 3d pocket. Behind it is a folded piece of card stock that can be used for notes. below are the inserts which have been stamped with various western themed images in silver ink. This is the back cover of the mini album. Here I've used a stencil (wild), a piece of hemp cord as a lasso, a cactus stamp and a resin boot which was over painted with a white shimmer paint. If you like this album, please leave a comment.
I will be doing more of these albums so keep checking back from time to time. If there are some themes you'd like to see, or if you'd like to order a custom design for yourself or as a gift please go to my contact page to place your order. As always thanks for visiting and don't forget to check my other pages! I have been very busy this week, but I did manage to make this little booklet for the Halloween mini. It needs to be sewn together but I like the various elements and wanted you to see how it looked before it was put together. The cover seemed to need something - so I "glitterized" it and found some tulle to put behind the "web". I ended up getting some orange tulle with orange glitter - I love the effect don't you? It needs more, but again I thought I'd give you a preview. If you want to compare how the cover looked before I added the tulle and glitter please see my post on Aug 3rd. I've added various things to the other pages too, which I will post as soon the album is complete. Thanks for your patience. Oh and be sure to check out the History Channel's piece on Halloween on my Fun Trivia page.
Here's the stamp set I am using and the washi tape; I only have a few pages so far; if you hover your pointer over the pictures you will be able to see the descriptions.... I will post more soon. Thank you for visiting.
