Once again, another co-worker has moved on. . . and will be terribly missed. Here is the card I made for her. I made the sides of the card to hold a 5x7 photo of our staff members. I wanted the card to stand alone in case Capri wanted to remove the picture and put it in a frame. I included a quote by Henry David Thoreau; "The language of friendship is not words, but meanings" to keep it from being too, bare should she decide to do so. On the inside corners I stamped some flowers. I thought it would tie in with the flowers on the outside of the card. I also rounded the corners to make it more aesthetically pleasing. I had no envelopes this size, so I made mine with Stampin' Up's envelope punch board (I love this tool!) and the same designer series paper I used for the card. Again this tied in with the overall design. Here you see me painting with "Wink of Stella clear glitter. over a vine I had stamped and "fussy" cut. I just love this product because it makes the image shimmer. Here is the finished card and envelope. I hope you can see the rhinestones. Unfortunately the camera does not capture the way they sparkle. I used the leaves cutout to break up the monotony of the overall pattern and also to make this part of the envelope more sturdy because the closure is a velcro tab. I hope you like this card and if you are interested in having me make a customized card like this one or any of the other cards on this site please send me a message on my contact page. Also please check in a few days for more updates to my art journal page. Don't forget to take the valentine quiz on my fun trivia page above. As Always thank you for visiting!
