I finally finished a few cards this week (Hopefully I am getting my mojo back) Here is my Dancing Chicks Easter card: This is an Easter card I made with a stamp I purchased at Hobby Lobby. The base of the card is on Pool Party card stock from Stampin' Up!. On top of that is a piece of designer paper from the Sweet Sorbet collection. The chicks are on water color paper which I colored with Stampin' Write markers. I used a technique I learned from my favorite you tube artist, Vicki; stamping the whole image twice, once on the background paper and then stamping on water color paper but cutting just the body of the image out and attaching it to the background with dimensionals. This way I don't have to cut around the thinner parts like the legs and arms. It gives a neater appearance. Then I added another piece of designer paper to the bottom to bring the colors together and covered the line between them with a white satin ribbon. I stamped Happy Easter and punched it out with a word window punch on top of a another punched out label in fresh grapefruit. I lined the inside of the envelope with the same striped paper from the bottom of the card which is also from the Sweet Sorbet designer paper collection. Then finally I stamped the dancing chicks on the front and back of the envelope and the Easter greeting on the back flap of the envelope. I just love this card don't you? This is my flower pot card. I just LOVE this card! The pot is made with fresh grapefruit card stock which is then sponged with fresh grapefruit ink around the sides with a finger dauber. I love the way this makes it look like a "real" clay pot. The bottom of the rim of the pot is punched with a fancy edge punch. Then I wrapped the top of the pot with a blue ribbon. On top of that I attached a modified label with the Happy Easter greeting. The inside of the pot is made with a piece of whisper white card stock on top of a larger piece of fresh grapefruit. On top of that I attached three flowers which I made from two different punches. I could go into all the details of how I made these, but lets just say they were a bit detailed. They look pretty, don't you think? I love the way the blue designer paper looks like butterflies. the leaves are actually from the wings of a bird builder punch.

Here is the picture of the free card I promised you. Post your comments today! After remarking to someone very dear to me that no one had left a comment to win this free card (even though the views were quite high) She pointed out that it may not appeal to everyone. Therefore, I decided that the greetings on the inside would be customized to what the winner liked!
