That being said, this is my seventh mini album and I feel like I finally know what I am doing (chuckle chuckle). The stamp sets are really adorable and inspire me creatively. For instance, on the relish the day page, I used some designer paper that I used for grass on another page and with a little squiggling over the pattern turned it into pickle relish. It's also fun to use puns. I haven't yet decided if I will finish this with ribbons like I've done with the others or leave it "bare" so that the recipient can add to it if they wish. Please leave a comment or message me with any questions.
I am almost done with this mini album and though I will be glad to have it completed, I think I have enjoyed working on this album more than any of the others with maybe the exception of the western one I made for my friend Denise. I did most of that album from "scratch" and it has special meaning for me. . . . That being said, this is my seventh mini album and I feel like I finally know what I am doing (chuckle chuckle). Here is another completed page in my new mini album. When I was a little girl, kids would collect lighting bugs in the summer and put them in a jar. I myself never did this because I didn't like bugs. I did however enjoy the magic of watching them in the dark with their beautiful flickering glow. I don't know if kids still do this, (and I wouldn't recommend capturing them for real) but I thought this a fun memory. This page has three pockets for small keepsakes or photos. The tag seems to say it all. . . . I've completed a few more pages, so as soon as my photographer "captures" them for me, I'll post them for you.
As always, thank you for visiting. I am no longer a demonstrator for Stampin' Up!. I still love Stampin' Up! because they are an awesome company. Everyone there that I have spoken with has been super polite. Even when they were crunching for Sale-a-Bration, the representative I talked to on the phone was patient with me when I was out and about and didn't have all the information I needed with me. I'll never forget how sweet she was and how helpful. All the time I was with them, It didn't matter when I called or who I talked to, EVERYONE, there was friendly and bent over backwards to help. Their products are great and high quality. I will definitely keep buying from them. I just was never able to get over my anxiety of doing workshops (although my job requires me to speak in front of people at times....so who knows if in the future I may be less anxious....( mmm probably not..........) Also I wanted to buy from other companies and the financial requirements, though minimal, made that too restrictive for me because of my limited budget. These are some of the newest stamp sets that I bought from Scrapbook.com. I am using these and some of my Stampin' Up! sets as well as S.U. designer papers for my current project: I thought I would give you a. . . . sneak peak. . . . of the newest (4.5"X6.5") mini album I am creating! I am so excited to be working with these stamp sets from Lawn Fawn. Aren't they cute! I guess my daughter thought so too, because she built an awesome picnic scene on her Mine Craft site!* Please check back often for updates on this project and others I am working on!
As always, thanks for visiting! *I will post a link to this site when I get it.....otherwise check out my emigurumi category to the left. This card was made for a very special man who recently turned 70! The base of the card is on Whisper White card stock. On top of that is a piece of Coastal Cabana card stock. The next layer is a wave design from Stampin' Up! designer paper. The three fish are made from a stamp I bought from Hobby Lobby. They were stamped, colored in with markers, fussy cut and then I used Crystal Effects also from Stampin Up to coat them. I used an eyelet in the center of the designer paper which was already attached to the Coastal Cabana card stock before attaching it to the card base. I also punched holes through the tops of the fish and used a silver cord to loop them together and then through the eyelet. The cord was taped in the back and then the whole thing was attached to the card base. The greeting was stamped with Coastal Cabana ink on Whisper White card stock and attached to a piece of Coastal Cabana and then I used Stampin Dimensionals to give the card some dimension. Then I made a liner for the envelope with a repeated pattern of the fish. This was also stamped with Coastal Cabana ink and die cut with a thinlits die. The front of the envelope also was stamped with the fish. Please leave a comment if you like this card or have any questions.
As always thanks for visiting! This is from one of my newer stamp sets From the Herd. I thought it was so cute I couldn't pass it up! This card features the barnyard animal group stamp. I used Memento black ink and then colored it in with various markers; both Stampin' Up! and Sharpies. The front piece is on Whisper White card stock and then the card itself is made with either Lucky Limeade or Old Olive card stock. The envelope is stamped with Wild Wasabi ink. As always thank you for visiting!
