As Always Thank You For Visiting!
Here is my newest mini album. It was for another co-worker that left. Perhaps it is the qualities that made her such a good Recovery Support Specialist that will make her an outstanding beautician. . . I actually had more fun making this album/card than I thought I would. I attached images to recycled greeting card envelopes and then made inserts by printing various information or quotes and left the backside blank for Katy's co-workers to leave her their thoughts and well wishes. I rounded the corners of the inserts and attached a ribbon to make it easier to slide them in and out. I tried to get a good mix of glamour and humor. I also matched the image on one side with a quote or something related to other side of the page. The inserts were a little more random, but I liked the idea of having the pages free of writing so that it was a memento and yet something fun on it's own. This is a one of a kind creation, but if you have someone who you would like to honor in some way with a custom mini of their own, please contact me and I will be glad to work with you. So Sorry I have been gone so long! I had a couple of Christmas Card orders that kept me busy, work was crazy and I have SAD during the winter and felt especially blue this holiday season. I'd like to take this time to share some of the cards I created. This one is a Nativity scene by Da Vinci. I was asked to do a Nativity scene and I had no rubber stamps with this theme and I didn't like any of the ones available, so I printed this, cut it out with a circular die and then found some gold poster board which I die cut with a slightly larger circle. Then I lined the inside of the envelope with gold paper and stamped it with gold ink. Very simple, yet I was very happy with the elegant feel. Here's another card I did. If you've been following me you'll notice I did a version of this card last year. I changed it up a bit by using different color card stock and ribbon. I also added rhinestones. And here I am daubing the edges of some "trees" for an order of ten "masculine" cards. If you look up at the top of the table, you will see the finished card.
I hope all of you had a very Merry Christmas and thank you for being patient with me and coming back.... I will now be working on Valentine's Day cards and more mini albums. As Always Thank You For Visiting! |
