I did these Christmas tags on Sunday and will probably be doing various Holiday Cards, albums, Gift Bags and Boxes with Halloween, Thanksgiving and Christmas Themes as ideas come to me, so expect an eclectic array of posts from now on! I am sorry the camera doesn't pick up the sparkle from the rhinestones on the owl's eyes. It really makes a difference. I also like the faux stitching effect and hope you do too. Thanks for visiting! Please come back regularly as posts should start being more steady from now until the end of the year.

So here's how my friend Denise's card turned out. I initially wanted to do a dream catcher card for her, but couldn't quite get the logistics figured out. As it turned out we wanted to do a western theme and I found a cowboy image that I thought looked cute. Then I decided to personalize it with her face. The image was actually a coloring book page clip art so it was fun altering it. I used markers to color the outfit and went over the vest and hat with clear "Wink of Stella" and added rhinestones for the buttons and chaps decorations. It's too bad the sparkle doesn't show up because it really adds so much. My daughter had the idea of using Red Solo Cups for lighting, so we just cut slits in the bottom and slipped in the bulbs from the light strings, spacing them about 4 bulbs apart. Then she put up black and cheetah streamers around them and here is how they turned out. She also did this wanted poster and we put a plastic cow skull (purchased from Hobby Lobby) above that. What do you think?
Hello Everyone. I finished some cards, but as luck would have it, the person (one of them) who is to receive the card will not be getting it until next week! The other card I will be finishing tonite and giving to the birthday girl tomorrow, so that one I can post tomorrow night. My daughter and I will also be decorating the house for the birthday girl, so I will probably be posting some of that. Next week I plan to start Holiday cards.. . .and so the frenzy begins!!!!!!!! Have a wonderful day and thank you for visiting!
Hi everyone, Can you believe it is Fall already (well actually tomorrow is the official date)? This year has gone by way too quickly. I love this time of year though. . . especially going for walks with the sun shining and the wind blowing through your hair. I also love the smell of burning leaves, the crunchiness of piles of leaves under your feet or when raking them. I could go on, but you know what I mean!
I will be in the studio today working on some projects, but it may be a few days before I can post them. Thanks for visiting. Hi Everyone - don't have anything myself yet, but my daughter just entered a poster contest with her original artwork. Please press the button below and when you get to the page vote if you like it.. Thank you!
For those visiting this weekend. . . sorry I have nothing new. Lots of stuff going on here at the home front with us getting a new entertainment center and having to move our furniture and things around. Also had to go into Chicago for training for my job which is very exhilarating but draining too! I am however working on some ideas for a new mini album but cannot give anything away because the receiver might be visiting my site. But check back next weekend. . . and I will try to have something for you. As always thanks for visiting!
My daughter and I decided to do art together on Sundays and here is the result. This is the first page of my first Art Journal. I am not totally happy with it, but it's a start. at doing something totally spontaneous. This is the final result; "All you need in life is a friend who has chocolate." I really liked the chocolate covered strawberries and it reminds me of when our friend Denise gave us chocolate covered strawberries from the Confectionary in town.
I know I said I would post a picture of my art journal page yesterday, but life happened. We are redoing our living room and have been quite busy with trying to find a used entertainment center that will house a large tube TV we are getting. You can't imagine how hard that is to co-ordinate! Also we (my daughter and I) had to prepare for a presentation today for our writer's group. They are trying to recruit new members and so that was a bit time consuming as well. Please check back on the weekend. Thanks as always for visiting!
I am somewhat blocked with my mini album, but have been doing other things. Here is a birthday card I made last week. I also began an art journal yesterday. I will post my first page either tomorrow or Wednesday. Hope you had a nice Labor Day and Thanks for visiting.
